How I can correct the color of the wood without removing everything?
accidentally spilled nail polish on a black wooden tray and stupidly tried to use nailpolish remover to remove. This changed the color of the wood. I do not know what to use to change the background color. Is there something specific that shold do? I do not want to remove all colors. I just want to fix the little dot that faded and add the background color.
You remove the "toner" - Final containing the color. You can touch up markers that contain spray (Minwax NO! Is simply placed in a tube!) And spray lacquer. Choose a color that is closest to your white, pump some in a glass or a piece of old plate, spray lacquer clear. Use an artist brush, very low, turn on a brush of color channels, a dash of spray, let dry and repeat. Go slowly and quietly to her.
